Holotype: CAS 216608. Paratypes: CAS 95176-79 (17, 2, 8, 4). •Valid as Badis chittagongis Kullander & Britz 2002 -- (Vishwanath & Shanta 2004:1620 [ref. 27861], Geetakumari & Vishwanath 2010:647 [ref. 30699], Schindler & Linke 2010:212 [ref. 31069], Geetakumari & Kadu 2011:2085 [ref. 31540], Khynriam & Sen 2013:69 [ref. 32119], Dahanukar et al. 2015:434 [ref. 33730], Basumatary et al. 2016:152 [ref. 34778], Kullander et al. 2019:315 [ref. 36656]). Current status: Valid as Badis chittagongis Kullander & Britz 2002. Badidae. Distribution: South Asia: small streams on Maheshkhali Island and coastal streams to the Bay of Bengal, Bangladesh. Habitat: freshwater.
